Like many on this day, I'm imagining new possibilities for 2016. New creative endeavors, spiritual practices, nature connections, levels of intimacy in relationships, physical exercise are all on my mind. At the same time, I know the statistics. New Year's resolutions have a small chance of making past January.
But I still have hopes. They are just tempered by knowing my humanity. I appreciate the lines in this image. The new things I imagine are the next steps in who I already am. There's no rush to a finish line. No goals to check off. Whatever I accomplish this . year will emerge from who I am and what the universe offers me. I'm looking forward to 2016.
How about you? What are your dreams for the New Year? Have a great year! One step at a time ...
In the land of 'not knowing', sometimes singing, other times dragging my feet, I'm on the path whose sign says "warning: God crossing." Spouse, mother, sister, aunt, friend and cat companion. I love being outside in the garden and inside my self-reflective psyche. Given up trying to save the world but still wishing I could. Color saves me.
